Instructions to candidates seeking admission in Ph.D Programme

  
1. Eligibility:
 

A candidate who has obtained a Master's degree in the subject or related field with at least 55% marks in aggregate or has qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission may apply for Admission for the Ph.D. degree for pursuing her research work under the guidance of a supervisor approved by the Vidyapith. Every applicant is expected to attach Master's degree marks sheet along with the application. Every candidate will appear in the Research Entrance Test (RET) which will be conducted online. Qualifying RET is a mandatory requirement for enrollment, and until that stage, the admission shall be treated as provisional.

  Note: A candidate who has a minimum 5 years work experience (Teaching/Industrial/Research) may be given relaxation of 5% by the Vice-Chancellor for registration for Ph.D Programme.
   
  2. Exemption from the requirement of appearing in RET:
   (i)  A candidate who have qualified NET, SLET, GATE or M.Phil. (If the candidate was admitted to M.Phil. through a research entrance test) may be exempted from the entrance examination.
 

 (ii) A candidate belonging to the Faculty of Fine Arts (Visual Art, Music & Dance) and Design, will be exempted  from the entrance examination. Such candidates should contact the research section separately.

   
  3. Duration of Research Entrance Test    : 2 Hours (11:00 AM to 1:00 PM)
   
  4. Venue       :    Banasthali Vidyapith (Main Campus). Candidate have to report by  09.00 AM at Surya   Mandir (IT Centre) Banasthali Vidyapith on the examination date.
   
  5. Mode of Examination       :    Online
   
  6. There will not be any negative marking.
   
 

7. Pattern of the question paper: Total 100 multiple choice questions (All carry equal marks)

                                                                        30 questions on Research Aptitude

                                                                        70 questions on Relevant Subject
