Banasthali Vidyapith offers the M.Des programme is supported by UGC under Innovative Programme from 2013. It offers courses that endeavor to develop student’s Knowledge and skills in a wide range of interdisciplinary studies such as Communication Design, Fashion and Lifestyle Design and Interior Design. The curriculum has identified essential competencies in the respective areas for which, the holistic education is provided to the students.

The interdisciplinary nature of M.Des course has opened the opportunity for the students who have completed the Degree Courses from other than Design Discipline having the duration of 3 years. To secure an admission in this M.Des Programme, the students from the other disciplines need to fulfill the requirement of a 4-year Degree Course. To satisfy this requirement, the ‘Bridge Course for M.Des’ is started from the month of July 2014, being a commencement phase of M.Des with the duration of one year.

The ‘Bridge Course for M.Des’ bridges the gap in-between the Design Discipline and other disciplines, as well as fulfills the criteria of requirement of having 4-years Degree Course by adding this one year to the 3-year degree programmes.

The I^st and II^nd semester of ‘Bridge Course for M.Des’ covers the course content of B.Des III^rd and IV^th semester (including Communication Design, Fashion and Lifestyle Design and Interior Design) respectively. It gives the fundamental knowledge of Design Discipline and equips the students for the M.Des programme.
