For admission to B.Ed. / M.Ed. / M.A. (Education) credit points will be awarded as under
 

1. Passing Postgraduate examination in First Division 2

2. Passing Postgraduate Examination in Second Division 1

3. First rank in merit of Graduation or Postgraduation 1

4. Passing B.S.T.C. or an equivalent examination (Only for B.Ed.) 2

5. Co Curricular activities

a) Representing the Country 3

b) Representing the State or Combined University team 2

c) Representing the University 1

6. Teaching Experience

a) More than or equal to one session but less than two sessions 1

b) More than or equal to two sessions but less than three sessions 2

c) More than or equal to three sessions 3

 

The session here means :

i) The teaching is full time in a recognized school, and

ii) The teaching in a session is for more than six months duration
Note : if the teaching experience is continuously for six months but in two consecutive sessions then it shall be counted

iii) The Experience Certificate has to be countersigned by the B.D.O./Education Officer or by the District Education Officer

or by any recognized Officer of the concerned university

It is necessary to submit a written statement from Banasthali University certifying the relationship of the applicant with an employee of the University. According to the Banasthali rules the word is defined as ‘wife, sister, daughter, sister-in-law & daughter-in-law.

Note : If the credit points are awarded under category no. 1 to 6 then the total can not exceed more than 5. However, if in addition the crediat points are also awarded based on category no. 7 to 9 then the total can go up to a maximum of 7. The merit shall be prepared by adding the percentage credit thus obtained in the total of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and in the aptitude test in equal weightage.
 

The merit shall be prepared separately for Arts, Science and Home Science group. From the list the reserved seats shall be allocated in each groups (Arts, Science and Home Science) as per the following details where the ratio of reserved seats shall be the same as the ratio in the total seat allocation :

As per the merit list, the admissions shall be made from the reserved and the general category so as to have the numbers as 55-in Arts, 35-in Science and 10-in Home Science group respectively.

 

 

Foreign / NRI Admissions

A limited number of seats are available for Foreign / NRI candidates. Admissions against these seats are based directly upon the merit and the applicant do not have to appear in the aptitude test.  The eligibility is 40% aggregate marks in the qualifying examinations (Except for B.Ed. where it is 45%, M.Ed. where it is 55%)
 

The following documents are required for admission against Foreign/ NRI seats :
 

i) Original Certificate /Marksheet of the qualifying examination

ii) Attested photo copies of the passport and Visa of the applicant/guardian.

iii) Foreign Bank Account Number or NRI Account Number of the applicant/guardian.

iv) Declaration regarding Non-Resident Indian status of the applicant /guardian.
 

Once student is admitted in a programme as a foreign /NRI/ student then she will remain in this category for the full duaration of the programme.  University decision regarding a Foreign /NRI admission will be final and will have to be adhered to by the applicant.


Readmission : If a student is separated from Banasthali University or shri Shantabai Shiksha Kutir and in the event the University decides to readmit her, admission fee of Rs. 1000/- shall be payable. The admission of a student shall be automatically cancelled due to unauthorized absence of three days or more.

Absence without prior written permission of the University shall be treated as unauthorized absence.
