The aptitude test will be common for all the B.Tech. programmes. One has to fill only one form for applying to more than one B.Tech. programme but a separate form for B.Pharm. In case of B.Tech. the preferences for the branches are to be given in the application form. Allocation of branch will be finalized at the time of counseling based on merit.

Minimum Eligibility:  B.Tech. (CSE/EC/IT/CE/BT)   : 60% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM).
                                     B.Pharm.                               : 60% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB).
            
For SC/ ST candidates the minimum eligibility is 40% aggregate in 10+2 with subjects as above. 

 - The Minimum Eligibility for appearing in the Aptitude Test for students passing the qualifying examination from Banasthali University will be
   50% aggregate  marks in the qualifying examination.
 - Applicants who fail to appear in the Aptitude Test will not be considered under any circumstances.

Aptitude Test Syllabii and Sample Questions

Admission is based on a combined merit of 50% marks in all India aptitude test (comprising of Objective Type tests in Physics & Chemistry, Mathematics (for B.Tech.)/ Biology (only for B.Pharm.), Logical Reasoning)  and 50% of normalized aggregate percentage in 10+2.

For foreign/ NRI candidates the minimum eligibility is 40% aggregate in 10+2 and admission directly on merit.

       Note:  1.If the credit point is awarded under category No. 1 - 4, total credit points will not be greater than 5%. If in addition  the credit points are also awarded under category Nos. 5-6, total credit points will not be greater than 7%.

                  2.Old students who have passed the last examination from Banasthali University and have studied in the University for a period of 5 years or less will be awarded 5% credit points and for every additional year 1% credit.

                  3. Maximum credit points that may be awarded under all categories is 10%.     

                 Based on the performance in the aptitude test and the academic record of the qualifying examination the selected  candidates will be offered admission and shall be called on a specific date to complete admission procedure. The candidate must report for admission on given date, failing which the admission will be cancelled.

                  Candidates appearing for Aptitude test shall preferably have to produce their final result at the time of appearing for the Test or should arrange to send it to the institute latest by 5 June, 2008, failing which they will be treated as ineligible.

Banasthali University reserves the right to cancel the admission of any student, if it is found that their original documents were manipulated. Even if it is discovered that the student has hidden certain facts which would have rendered her ineligible, or found to be ineligible as a result of revision of marks at a later stage her admission shall be cancelled and she shall be separated from the University.  

  

       Foreign/NRI Admissions

A limited number of seats are available for Foreign/ NRI candidates. Admissions against these seats are based directly upon the merit and the applicants do not have to appear in the Aptitude Test. The minimum eligibility for FOREIGN/ NRI candidates is 40% marks in the qualifying examination. The following documents are required for admission against FOREIGN/ NRI seats:

(i)     Original Certificates/ Marksheets of the qualifying examination,

(ii)    Attested photocopies of the Passport and Visa of the applicant/sponsor, The educational fee is usually paid in foreign currency directly. In case the applicant wishes to pay the fee in Indian Currency it will have to be from a NRI account of the applicant/guardian, and in that case the following document will have to be submitted additionally :

(iii)    NRI Account Number, (In case the fee is paid in Indian Currency).

The Fee prescribed for Foreign/ NRI applicant for the 2008-2009 session is :

  Euros 2,800 p.a.


Admission against FOREIGN/ NRI seats is at the sole discretion of the Institute and the Institute may deny admission to an applicant without assigning any reason whatsoever.
